News media contact: Hannah Schafer Cell: 971-235-8472 hannah.schafer@portlandoregon.gov @pbotinfo Traffic Advisory:A smoother street is coming to SE Foster Road between 101st and 111th avenues starting May 23 (May 19, 2022) Paving work begins Monday, May 23 on SE Foster Road between 101st and 111th avenues, as part of the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s (PBOT) ongoing street maintenance program. The work is expected to last approximately three weeks, with work occurring between 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. In total, PBOT crews will grind down and repave approximately 1.9 lane miles of pavement. The road design will generally remain in its current configuration, but PBOT will be adding buffers along the existing bike lanes. To ensure there’s enough buffer between the vehicle travel lanes and the new, safer bike lane, on-street parking will be removed along the south side of SE Foster Road, between the Springwater Corridor crossing and SE 110th/111th Avenue. Additionally, PBOT crews will be evaluating and constructing curb ramps and crosswalks to meet ADA standards at the following locations: SE 102nd Avenue, SE 103rd Avenue, SE 103rd Place, Springwater Corridor, and SE 107th Avenue. The traveling public is advised to expect delays while repairs are being made.
